Cath Barrett is an actor and aspiring writer based in Glasgow but originally from Aberdeen. Following a BSc Honours degree in Earth Science at the University of Glasgow, she graduated from Acting Coach Scotland with a Professional Diploma in Acting for Stage and Screen in December 2021.

Cath is really passionate about Scottish theatre, particularly work that focuses on local communities and the landscape because there are so many great stories to be told from this wee country! She is really driven to create work around these themes and settings, as well as incorporating her love for the outdoors and hillwalking.

Joining PCS has given Cath the opportunity to embrace playfulness more in performance (Bippity) and equipped her with knowledge of how to make theatre and theatre practices more accessible for all (Cultivate Inclusion). This has had a real impact on Cath when it comes to thinking about creating some of her own work, as she wants everyone to be able to experience the joy of theatre and art.

Recent credits include: The Girls of Cartridge Hut No. 7 (Outspoken Arts Scotland, 2022), Jack and the Beanstalk (Hopscotch Theatre Company, 2022) and Down the Hatch! (Chaos Collective @ Edinburgh Fringe, 2023). Full CV available via Spotlight.
