DAVID

BLAIN

Although not an aspiring actor, David has made sporadic appearances on stage with his last outing as part of the scratch performance of ‘Remote Control’ at the 2017 Emergence as part of the Chrysalis festival. David also performed on stage at the 2016 Festival of Politics in Stranraer in the play ‘Freedom Square’.

As an aspiring writer, David tries to write as much as possible outside of his busy full-time working life and enjoys producing writing which focuses on relevant issues and presenting these in a stimulating manner. David had an extract performed of his play ‘Red Dusk Over Petrograd’ at the rehearsed reading event ‘Four Revolutions’ at the 2017 Wigtown Book Festival.

David currently assists at the Young Ryan Youth Theatre in Stranraer which runs weekly Drama sessions during school term time for local children aged 7-14 years old.

In his spare time, David enjoys watching football, spending time with family and friends and has a keen interest in political affairs.

David is a current member of the Management Committee for Performance Collective Stranraer.
