Ellie Stevens

Ellie is an early career theatre director from Castle Douglas, Scotland. She has recently completed her MA in Drama Directing at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and now has bases in both Bristol and Castle Douglas. She is a very actor-led director and prides herself in utilising the varied and colourful experiences of the people in the room to guide the creation of her work: Resulting in getting the best out of every individual involved and creating totally unique performances.

Ellie has curiosity at her heart, continually asking ‘what if’ to tactfully explore difficult topics. She has a keen interest in gritty and thought-provoking work and enjoys layering mediums to create visually stimulating multimedia performance.
