FRASER

MACLEOD

Fraser is a theatre specialist working in the industry or over 15 years. A trained actor, Fraser has diversified into making theatre, directing and creating participatory experiences for children, young people, families, communities and audiences both nationally and internationally.

For 9 years Fraser was part of the core artistic team with Scottish Youth Theatre responsible for designing opportunities for young people to develop their skills and collaborate with each other and established theatre professionals. Fraser developed and directed the company’s ‘Now’s the Hour’ project that engaged with hundreds of young people in the lead up to the 2014 Independence Referendum. In the same year he was the Project Director responsible for the artistic vision and implementation of the ‘The Tin Forest – International Performing Company’ – bringing 90 young people from across the Commonwealth to Glasgow to create travelling site-responsive street theatre across the city for the Commonwealth Games Culture Programme, in association with the National Theatre of Scotland.

Fraser has recently worked as a creative partner for National Theatre of Scotland on Home/Away – working with the Bangladesh Association Glasgow and Yuva Ekta, from New Dehli - and Exchange – with Eden Court Collective and Ovalhouse Performance Company. He was also the Associate Director on the large-scale community engagement and performance project Shift.

Fraser is currently the facilitator/director for the Tron Studio community company.

Fraser has presented work and engaged with companies from across the UK and New York, Boston, Toronto, Calgary, Katowice and New Dehli.
